Lulseged Retta
Biography
Lulseged Retta was born in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia 1952 andgraduated from the Addis Ababa School of Fine Arts. In 1986, he achieved his MFA from the Repine Academy of Arts in Leningrad (St. Petersburg). Through a mosaic interest and a concern for African motif, Artist Lulseged has developed different philosophical approaches to his work. He has created modern art by studying traditional Ethiopian Art. Artist Lulseged has served as a civil servant at the Ministry of Culture and Information as well as the Ethiopian Tourism Commission. He runs a private studio in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. He is a fellow of Ethiopian Studies at the Addis Ababa University.
